Lake Huron Refraction

Another refraction event happened in Houston Heights last night, Thursday, June 1st at 11:10 p.m. Jim noticed the lights on the horizon and confirmed with his binoculars that a refraction was occurring. This one wasn’t as extensive as the first one we saw many years ago. Also, it was yellow/warm lights instead of lime green lights.

The ‘event’ seemed to be about four blocks long and glowed quite brightly. Maybe this will be a year for other natural phenomena as well – like Northern lights! Stay tuned…
